Chicago St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2024 will take place on Saturday, March 16, with festivities occurring in downtown Chicago.

What To Expect

Witness the iconic Chicago River dyeing at 10 am, a tradition proudly carried out by the Chicago Journeymen Plumbers Local 130 for nearly seven decades.
Enjoy the parade, starting at 12:15 pm, featuring a procession of floats, marching bands, and Irish dancers.
Best views for the river dyeing from Upper Wacker Drive between Columbus and Fairbanks.
Note that Riverwalk businesses will be closed and stairwell access will be restricted on Parade Day.
VIP Grandstand Seating also available, with access to VIP restrooms, opening at 10:30 am for general admission.
